A two-panel rewrite of the Wind God and Thunder God. Tanaka’s own line: it sheds light on “the problem of today’s money-centered society.” Skull faces, dollar signs, red dots, gold, and paint running down both panels. The old Japanese pair, redone for a world that cannot stop counting.
If Capitalism and Forbidden Fruit is the party, this is the storm outside it. Same series, same scale of wall. Collectors who take it are usually the ones who want the critique without losing the charge — a picture that is loud, Japanese, and completely of now.
