Starman belongs to the helmet series developed for No Coincidence, in which motorsport insignia become portraits of temperament rather than trophies of speed. Where Mcman turns the gaze upward, toward what comes next, Starman holds still. The figure is shown in profile, helmeted, the Mercedes-Benz star set at the temple. That mark gives the work its title and situates it inside the exhibition’s language of luxury, discipline, and chosen identity.
The field is a measured blue. It is not atmosphere so much as a climate of thought: pensive, inward, withheld. Graphic contour and racing livery remain, but the heat of the track has been cooled into reflection. Starman is the counterpart to Mcman’s future tense, the same series seen from the other side of the visor.
