Thoughts on the endlessness of time, space and possibilities for purpose on existence has inspired the creation of this artwork ‘Space Boy’. This painting also explores the purpose in pushing on past limitations to find creation. The astronaut has a clock with 11:11 on it, a barcode with significant numbers and an egg shaped front vision pouch. This charcoal and acrylic painting on fine art ready to hang stretched canvas is an expression of life through thought and emotion. Coconut charcoal dust provides the representational structure for the cute little astronaut on space bicycle, using a unique and also made up technique with paint brush and charcoal dust. Acrylic paints are used to create a realistic Earth balloon. Some splatters in acrylic and white in oil paint for highlights of realism. A light gold shimmer layer was added later with one more splatter of gold to link to success moving forward.
The limited edition consists of 10 prints total, across all sizes. Hand embellished sections are painted by Ashvin himself. Artwork ships rolled, with 1.5-inch (4 cm) mirrored edges beyond the artwork size (gallery wrap) so the image continues on the sides of the stretcher, ready to stretch. Each print is shipped rolled in a protective tube, with complimentary shipping worldwide. If you'd like your piece stretched and framed, we can do it for you and ship it ready to hang, for an additional fee. Just ask us for a quote. We also offer pickup at our Wynwood gallery in Miami. Delivery takes 1–3 weeks, depending on destination. Prices increase as editions sell. Certificate of authenticity provided.
