Can of Soup is a crushed Red Bull can, played against Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup. The title joins the can to the Campbell format; the subject joins the energy drink to Formula 1, where Red Bull is a constant presence.
The crushed can gives the object character. Pop quotation and racing sponsorship occupy the same canvas, tying the collection’s F1 thread to a history of soup-can painting.
