A ballerina, painted in monochrome charcoal realism, rises en pointe — her posture effortless, yet commanding. Arms outstretched like wings mid-flight, she becomes an emblem of freedom, discipline, and grace. Her golden bodice shimmers with subtle warmth, concealing a secret — a hidden phrase from a self-created universal language, woven directly into the fabric of the painting. Its meaning, tied intrinsically to the soul of the piece, remains a silent invitation for the viewer to decode.
Exploding from her waist is a living skirt of autumnal energy: an expressive burst of sunflowers, chrysanthemums, marigolds, and wheat painted in vivid acrylic and oil blends. Burnt sienna leaves, golden stalks, and fiery petals scatter in arcs of movement, as if she is twirling nature itself into being. Every stroke of colour dances around her, in splashes that echo the seasonal shift — from life to letting go.
This elegant composition evokes the cycle of change — the strength in softness, the poetry of falling, and the fire within restraint. Through this signature charcoal brushing technique and expressive splatter aesthetic (motusrealism), the dancer becomes a force of both control and chaos — a living sculpture caught between worlds.

The limited edition consists of 50 prints total, across all sizes. Hand embellished sections are painted by Ashvin himself. Artwork ships rolled, with 1.5-inch (4 cm) mirrored edges beyond the artwork size (gallery wrap) so the image continues on the sides of the stretcher, ready to stretch. Each print is shipped rolled in a protective tube, with complimentary shipping worldwide. If you'd like your piece stretched and framed, we can do it for you and ship it ready to hang, for an additional fee. Just ask us for a quote. We also offer pickup at our Wynwood gallery in Miami.
