Andrea Santolaya develops a personal photographic language portraying small communities, including the Mikhailovsky Ballet in Saint Petersburg, the Warao of the Orinoco Delta in Venezuela, boxing gyms in New York, and the Biarritz Olympique rugby club in France.
In 2010 she completed an MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Books include Around and Manolo Valdés. Botanical Garden of NY. Her first solo exhibition Around was presented during PHotoESPAÑA 2011 in Madrid. She is presented by The Wall Art Gallery, Miami.
