That mark gives the work its title and situates it inside the exhibition’s language of luxury, discipline, and chosen identity.

The field is a measured blue. It is not atmosphere so much as a climate of thought: pensive, inward, withheld. Graphic contour and racing livery remain, but the heat of the track has been cooled into reflection. Starman is the counterpart to Mcman’s future tense, the same series seen from the other side of the visor.
