Long-Lost Klimt Painting, First Doubted, Now Valued at $16 Million

A long-lost Gustav Klimt painting, believed to depict an African prince, has resurfaced and is now on sale for $16 million. Initially dismissed, the artwork gained recognition after authentication confirmed its origins. The artwork has been identified as a 1897 portrait of Prince William Nii Nortey Dowuona, a representative of the Ga people from present-day Ghana. Experts note its rarity, as Klimt rarely painted subjects of African descent.
