Veiled in celestial shadow and layered patina, Raqia +002 evokes the ancient concept of the “firmament”—a vast, suspended expanse between the waters above and below. Flecks of light and faint marbling suggest stardust drifting through primordial darkness, while the somber, earthly tones hint at both decay and cosmic birth. The finely carved, organic motif of the frame serves as a grounding contrast to the infinite depth of the image itself, anchoring the viewer in the physical while inviting the gaze upward into the metaphysical. A work of quiet grandeur, Raqia +002 lingers in the space between material and spirit, origin and abyss.
